Last night we went to meeting and when we got out of the car it was sooooo windy it blew my door open!
As I don’t watch the news very much, I didn’t know that there was a hurricane off the coast! Today, when i woke up, I put on the news and there it was…..Hurricane Dolly. The hurricane is on the coast and no where near us. We are 3 hours from the coast (Corpus Christi) and 5 hours from where the hurricane is (Brownsville).
We will receive some much needed rain and wind from the hurricane.
I did a little searching online and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says on their website:
“Hays (Texas) SHORT TERM FORECASTNATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 233 PM CDT WED JUL 23 2008 TXZ171>173-186>192-232300- SAN MARCOS 233 PM CDT WED JUL 23 2008 .NOW...THROUGH 7 PM...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING...MOVING WEST AT 30 MPH. I didn’t have Ava today, so I just stayed home and cleaned the house. I will write again later….
