Dancing in Bandanas…

Last night we got together with some of our closest friends at Jill and Jason’s house. It was great to see them before we left for Texas. I put a bandana on all the guys as they entered the party!

They looked like cowboys!!!! Too cute. We have a bunch of close friends, but its funny that they do not all know each other! It was the perfect mix of people. I got to finally hold baby heidi!!! She is too cute! We danced for awhile and it was tons of fun!

I was afraid that I was going to cry when saying goodbye, but I held it together. I did come close to crying a couple times while giving the goodbye hugs.

Seth and I spent the night Saturday. Mom came over after meeting to say goodbye. We gave our goodbye hugs and I didn’t want to let go of Jill. She is my bestest friend!!! We got in the car and drove out of their driveway and Seth said “No Tears?” I pointed to the lump in my throat, since my tears were stuck there. As we left their community I dropped a few tears. I know I will see them again and soon.

We want to go to Austin City Limits in September. That will be fun!!!

Off we drove to Menifee to visit my grandparents, we got there and I took Grandma to Ross, she got some new pants. We met Grandpa, Seth, Albert, Carol and their grandson Tristen at Asia (A Chinese Buffet). We had a great time with them.

We are going to spend the night tonight and then tomorrow afternoon, we take off for Peoria, Arizona to visit Ali & Jason….

 

Moving on up….

Thursday the moving company showed up to take our boxes to San Marcos, Texas. We had them all ready to go. They came in a 48 foot long truck and loaded our stuff into it in about an hour and a half.

Its pretty convenient to be able to have someone else load the truck and drive it for us (and suprisingly cheaper then doing it ourselves). We spent the night at the apartment Thursday night, as Seth had to work on Friday. I stayed home and cleaned out the apartment and got it ready for the walk-through. Boy was i exhausted.

We left the apartment and met my mom, Jill and Jason at Bollweevil. We had steerburgers and listened to some good toons. It felt like the old days when we would go to Bollweevil every Friday night growing up.

We spent the night at my mom’s house and got to sleep in. My sister Robin came over and we went to lunch. It was great to see her and say goodbye.

103 degrees…

This weekend was our district convention at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. It was so hot! It was 103 degrees on Friday. I love district convention, it is the one place where i get to see friends who don’t live near me.  I know i will see them at least once a year here!  It was the perfect opportunity to let our friends know that we are moving to Texas. Many of them had no idea and others had heard we were moving. I had some of them ask me if i was moving to Montana, Arizona and Idaho. It was funny how things get changed up from person to person.

The moving truck comes to pick up our boxes on Thursday….time to start packing!
